Western Balkan Adventure and Discovery Tour – EXIT ADVENTURE presents the Western Balkan Adventure and Discovery Tour (WBAADT), an international tour in the Balkans in the centre of which lies the best European music festival, EXIT!

This project, recognised and supported by the European Commission, will connect prominent music events from the five Balkan countries Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia, and will be built around one of the biggest youth tourist attraction in Europe – the EXIT music festival, which is also the lead coordinator of the project.

The associating parties of the project are the National Tourist Organisation of Montenegro, MONDO DOO from Croatia, TAKSIRAT from Macedonia, SUPRA SKUPINA from Slovenia and the Holland-based OSTFEST LIMITED.

This unique Balkan tour begins with a big music event in Slovenia, the EDM Circus, which will be held on 4th July in Ljubljana. Then the great summer vibes continue onto the Papaya club on the Croatian beach Zrće in Novalja on Pag. The club can hold 5000 people at more than 3000 square meters and from 5th to 8th July it will present the hottest summer rhythms. Papaya is one of the best open-air club in central Europe, and in 2011 it was listed by DJ Mag as one of the best clubs in the world at the pretty high 32nd place!

From 10th to 13th July the fun moves onto the officially best European festival, EXIT, at the Petrovaradin fortress in Novi Sad in Serbia! During the four days of EXIT over 400 performers will perform on 20 stages – from contemporary world stars, to all-time favourites, and all the way to the representative slash between the local and regional music scene. This is the 15th edition of the festival, and EXIT grew over the years as a music mecca not only for the region’s youth, but to young folks from all over the world!

The good vibes are then heading south to Sea Dance Festival, that’s being held from 15th to 17th July at Jaz beach near Budva in Montenegro. Sea Dance is an in incredible destination for all those who enjoy having fun, and they’ll be met with the soothing sounds of the sea and the sun’s hot kiss, all the while having crazy good times at the six festival stages.

Finally, from 22nd to 27nd July at the Dojransko Lake in Macedonia, the D Festival will be held – the music summer in Macedonia wouldn’t be complete without it!

The general goal of this project is to better position the Western Balkan region at European and world tourist markets, by creating transnational tours as a sustainable tourist product based on youth tourism at its core. The project is supported by the European Commission.

Another goal of the project is to empower and strengthen the tourism economy of ex-Yugoslavian countries, because the Western Balkan is the only European region which remains relatively undiscovered to world travellers. This transnational tour will connect five countries of former Yugoslavia (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia) into one, and will be used as model for establishing similar, regular tours during the year.
