A graffiti reading “ISIS is coming” has been discovered on the wall of the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas in Pristina, Tanjug is reporting on Thursday.

Italian KFOR soldiers noticed it over the weekend, the report added.

Media in Pristina said that Italian members of the NATO force in Kosovo “patrol around this religious building twice a week.”

The church’s priest, Darko Marinkovic, stressed that he was notified about the graffiti only a few days ago, and that the incident has been reported to the Kosovo police.

“What’s worst of all is that an invitation to a terrorist organization that almost half the world is fighting against at this moment has been written. Perhaps it all coincided with this day and the regrettable events 12 years ago, when this church, like many other monasteries, was set on fire and destroyed,” he told RTK2.

The graffiti was discovered a few days before the 12th anniversary of the March Pogrom – a mass wave of violence that saw ethnic Albanians in Kosovo targeting Serbs, their property, and their holy places.
