In their singular form, masculine nouns end with a consonant and generally end with an `i` in the plural. Most feminine nouns end in `-a` in the singular and `-e` in the plural. Neuter nouns end in either `-e` or `-o` in the singular; generally, the plural form ends in `-a`. Stress is usually on the first syllable but in some cases, as in words that have a prefix, stress is on the middle syllable. Stress never falls on the last syllable of a word.
